Florida Amber Alert: Cedric Barnes missing from Orange Park

UPDATE: The amber alert has been canceled. Cedric was found safe.
A Florida Amber Alert has been issued for 10-year-old Cedric Barnes after he was seen getting into a vehicle while walking home from school in Orange Park in Clay County, local officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately.
The incident happened on Thursday afternoon when Cedric was walking home from Argyle Elementary School, according to the amber alert, which was issued just before 7 p.m. Cedric was last seen getting into a silver sedan in the area of the 2000 block of Spencer Plantation Boulevard.
“The sedan was driven by an unknown black male with short dreadlocks,” the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said in the amber alert. Other details about the vehicle or suspect were not immediately known.
Cedric is described as a 10-year-old black male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 4 feet tall and weighing 70 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue-striped polo shirt, jean shorts and a red backpack. He may also have a red scooter with him.
Anyone who sees Cedric is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Clay County Sheriff’s Office at 904-264-6512 if you have any other information that could help investigators. You can also call the FDLE at 1-888-FL-MISSING (1-888-356-4774).
