1 dead, 3 injured in shooting near Mondawmin Mall in Baltimore
One person was killed and three others were injured in a shooting near a mall in Baltimore, according to officials. Two vehicles at the scene showed significant damage.
The shooting occurred Monday night in the 2400 block of Liberty Heights Avenue in northwest Baltimore, near Mondawmin Mall. Local outlets, citing Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley, said one person was killed and three others were injured.
A police officer told WBFF that all four victims were male. Their identities, ages, and the current conditions of the injured have not been released.
Footage from WJZ, the CBS affiliate in Baltimore, showed two heavily damaged vehicles in the mall’s parking lot. A blue pickup truck was missing a front tire and had a side door blown off, with debris scattered across the ground. A silver car nearby also showed damage.
WJZ described a large police scene spanning Liberty Heights Avenue and extending toward the intersection near Monroe Street, covering parts of the mall parking lot and nearby alleyways.
Authorities have not provided details about a suspect or what led to the shooting, and it remains unclear how the damaged vehicles are connected to the incident.
