Trump again says he will sue Trevor Noah over Epstein comments at Grammys

President Trump repeated that he plans to sue Trevor Noah over comments made at the Grammy Awards about Jeffrey Epstein.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Monday, Trump was asked whether he intended to sue Noah. “Yeah, well, he said that I spent time on Jeffrey Epstein’s island,” Trump said. “I had nothing to do with that. I had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein.”

Trump criticized Noah’s performance as host of the Grammy Awards, saying, “I think he did a terrible job at the Grammys. I think the whole Grammys was terrible. I watched part of it. It was not watchable.” He added, “He was a lousy host. I’d say not as bad as Jimmy Kimmel, but pretty close.”

The comments followed a joke Noah made as host of the ceremony, when he said, “That is a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone. He needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

Trump also addressed the issue in a social media post late Sunday, calling the Grammy Awards “the worst” and again denying any visit to Epstein’s private island.

“Noah said, incorrectly, about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island,” Trump wrote. “I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close.”

In the post, Trump said he plans to pursue legal action against Noah over the remarks, calling them false and defamatory.
