Russian strikes on Kyiv kill child, injure 13
Russian strikes on Kyiv killed a child and injured at least 13 others, according to local officials. Another 10 people were injured in separate strikes on Dnipro.
The strikes on Kyiv were reported at about 2:30 a.m. local time on Thursday. Kyiv city officials said a 12-year-old child was killed in the attack.
In the Podilskyi district, where the first floor of a private home was destroyed, officials said rescuers pulled another child and the mother from the rubble and handed both to medics.
At least 13 people were reported injured in the wake of the attack across Kyiv, including several medics. City officials said calls for medical help were still coming in as emergency crews continue responding to several scenes.
Damage from the strikes, falling debris and resulting fires were reported in several districts across Ukraine’s capital.
The strikes also hit Dnipro, a city in east-central Ukraine, where officials said another 10 people were injured. Seven of them were hospitalized, including a woman in serious condition.
