Several injured in shooting in suburban Cincinnati
A shooting in suburban Cincinnati, Ohio, has left several people injured, according to officials and local media.
The shooting happened Saturday evening in Cheviot, a city just west of Cincinnati, after police were called to the 3600 block of Glenmore Avenue at about 5:40 p.m., according to WLWT.
Cheviot police said there was active police activity in the area and asked people to avoid the scene or use alternate routes so emergency personnel could handle the situation safely.
The area is mostly residential, with some commercial buildings nearby. It was not immediately clear where exactly the shooting took place.
Police have not released the number of victims or their conditions. Initial reports indicated that several people were injured, but officials have not provided additional details.
It was also unclear what led up to the shooting or whether police were looking for a suspect.
