Two men were critically injured in a shooting inside a Kroger supermarket near Houston, Texas, according to officials. A suspect was detained, and authorities said there was no threat to the public.
The shooting happened at about 2:50 p.m. Wednesday at the store in the 20300 block of Cypresswood Drive in Cypress, just outside Houston. Deputies responded within minutes after receiving multiple calls about gunfire inside the store.
Precinct 4 Captain Juan Flores said that deputies found one man with a gunshot wound walking out of the supermarket. A second man was found inside with multiple gunshot wounds.
Both men were taken to hospitals in critical condition. Authorities believe they were the only people involved in the shooting and said no one else appeared to have been injured.
