Florida: South Sumter High School teacher arrested for touching minor

Jason Sager, a teacher at South Sumter High School in Bushnell, Florida, has been arrested for allegedly having inappropriate physical contact with two minors, at least one of whom was a student, local officials say.
Sager, 48, was arrested on Wednesday on four counts of Battery and two counts of Transmission of Harmful Material to a Minor, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Specific details about his alleged actions were not immediately released.
The investigation began last Friday when a student at South Sumter High School disclosed inappropriate communications and physical contact from Sager.
“The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation and discovered Jason Patrick Sager engaged in unlawful contact with the victim via a social media app after school hours,” the sheriff’s office said. “The investigation also revealed Jason Patrick Sager engaged in unlawful physical contact with the student.”
During the investigation, a witness provided information regarding Sager’s alleged actions, which led to the discovery that the witness was also a victim of unlawful physical contact, according to the sheriff’s office. It did not specify whether the second victim is also a student.
Sager was issued a bond in the amount of $14,000.
