Four people, including a child, were taken to hospitals with life-threatening injuries when an airport shuttle bus overturned in a crash near Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina, according to police.

The crash was reported at about 3:10 p.m. Saturday near U.S. 70/Glenwood Avenue and Interstate 540 in northwest Raleigh, close to the northern end of the airport, according to Raleigh police and transportation officials.

Police said the crash involved a sedan and a Fast Park shuttle bus, which is used to carry passengers to and from Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The bus overturned during the collision.

Three adults and a child were taken to nearby hospitals with life-threatening injuries, Raleigh police said.

The crash shut down all lanes on Lumley Road at Glenwood Avenue, as well as the I-540 ramp to U.S. 70, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

Officials at Raleigh-Durham International Airport told WNCN that the crash did not involve any airport-owned vehicles.
