Bodies in Peabody identified as Mark Greenlaw and Jennifer O’Connor
Two people who were found dead in the basement of a home in Peabody, Massachusetts, have been identified as 37-year-old Mark Greenlaw and Jennifer O’Connor, according to the Essex District Attorney’s Office.
Greenlaw and O’Connor were dating and both lived at 19 Farm Avenue, which is the house where their bodies were found over the weekend. The discovery was made after a woman ran from the home and flagged down a driver, who brought her to the state police barracks in Danvers.
Investigators are searching for two suspects in connection with the double murder, though authorities have yet to release any information about their identities or the nature of their relationships to the victims. No arrests had been made as of Monday morning.
Investigators believe that everyone involved in the double murder knew each other and the killings were not at random. Information about how the couple was killed has not yet been released. Officers attended the residence multiple times over the past few years, including for gun-related offenses.
Neighbors have expressed their shock at the double murder but said the problems at the residence were well-known in the neighborhood. The Peabody Police Department, the Essex District Attorney’s Office and Massachusetts State Police are investigating.
