2 injured in stabbing at LG office building in Seoul
Two people were seriously injured in a stabbing at an LG Electronics office building in Seoul, South Korea, according to police and fire officials. An employee has been arrested.
The stabbing was reported at about 11:18 a.m. local time on Wednesday on the second floor of LG Electronics’ Magok office center in Gangseo District, a western area of Seoul near Gimpo International Airport.
The victims were identified only as men in their 50s and 40s. One suffered a serious arm injury and the other was seriously injured in the side, but both were not believed to have life-threatening injuries, according to South Korea’s Chosun Daily, citing officials.
The suspect was described as an employee of an LG Electronics partner company. Police took the suspect into custody and are investigating the circumstances of the attack.
The Magok complex is one of LG Electronics’ main office sites in Seoul, housing employees for one of South Korea’s most recognizable corporate brands.
