Delta Air Lines plane crash-lands at Toronto airport

A Delta Air Lines plane crash-landed and overturned at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Canada, according to officials. At least 18 people have been injured.
“Delta Connection flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air using a CRJ900 aircraft, was involved in a single-aircraft accident at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) around 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The flight originated from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP),” Delta said in a statement.
All 76 passengers and 4 crew members have been accounted for, according to Canada’s Minister of Transport, Anita Anand.
Eighteen passengers were injured and transported to hospitals, according to airport officials. CBS and local media had reported that three people, including a child, were critically injured.
Gusty winds over 40 mph (64 kph) and light snow were recorded at the time of the incident, CBS News reported. As a result of the incident, a ground stop was declared at the airport, temporarily suspending all departures and arrivals.
Footage from the scene showed people evacuating from the overturned aircraft.
