Heavy police presence reported near Pittsburgh
A heavy police presence has been reported in a borough near Pittsburgh, with SWAT teams and helicopters seen around a home, according to local officials and video from the scene. It was not immediately clear what happened.
Jefferson Hills Fire-Rescue said there was a heavy police presence in the area of Arnoni Drive in Jefferson Hills, a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and asked people to avoid the area while first responders worked an “active scene.”
A livestream shared by Sanjeeb Tamang on TikTok showed a large number of police and SWAT officers surrounding a home. Helicopters could also be seen circling above the area.
In the stream, a detective approached the people recording and asked what they knew about the home, including whether they knew the family who lives there and whether they had recorded a silver vehicle leaving the area.
The detective said a person had “passed away” inside the home but told them he could not say whether there had been a shooting.
Officials have not released details about the nature of the incident.
