Florida Amber Alert: Alanda McCoy abducted from Milton

A Florida Amber Alert has been issued for 4-year-old Alanda McCoy after she was allegedly abducted from Milton in Santa Rosa County by a 27-year-old man. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The incident happened on Tuesday when Alanda was allegedly taken from the 6000 block of Berry Hill Road in Milton, according to the Milton Police Department. Specific details about the circumstances were not immediately released.

The suspect has been identified as William Kavchak, a 27-year-old white male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall. He goes by the name Billy. There was no immediate word on the nature of his relationship - if any - to Alanda.

Kavchak is believed to have taken the child in a green 2007 Mercury Montego with Florida license plate number Y53UNW. The vehicle may appear light blue in color, has a dent on the right front passenger bumper, and the tail lights have plastic covers with silver lines on them.

Alanda is described as a 4-year-old white female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 3 feet tall and weighing about 41 pounds. She was last seen wearing a yellow spaghetti strapped tank top, a light colored skirt and blue flip flops.

Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Milton Police Department at 850-983-5420 if you have any other information that could help investigators.
