The two were last seen at about 7:49 p.m. on Monday when they left the K-Mart on Center Road in Brunswick. Robin is under foster care and Roberts, who is a registered sex offender and has a history of drug abuse, does not have custody of her.
Other details about the circumstances of the abduction were not immediately released, but the Brunswick Police Department said Portage County Job & Family Services removed the girl from her father's custody about a week before the abduction.
In addition to the abduction, Roberts has two arrest warrants out for drug paraphernalia.
Investigators believe the suspect and the child are traveling in a black Ford Ranger with Ohio plate number PJL4802. The plates were taken off of another vehicle. It is unknown where Roberts may be taking his daughter, though Roberts is known to frequent the area of Ravenna.
Roberts is described as a 40-year-old white male who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 220 pounds and has brown hair and eyes. His daughter is described as a 15-year-old female who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who sees either the suspect, child or the vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call 1-877-AMBER-OH.
