Rebecca Lewis was last seen at about 9 a.m. on Saturday when she was sleeping inside her family's mobile home in the 6200 block of U.S. Highway 98 North in Lakeland, but when Rebecca's sister woke up about 45 minutes later, the child had disappeared.

"According to the parents of Rebecca, they searched the area for over an hour before calling law enforcement," said Scott Wilder, a spokesperson for the Polk County Sheriff's Office. "Once deputies arrived they conducted multiple searches of the residence and conducted a house by house search of the park with negative results."

Since then, deputies have developed leads that suggest Rebecca was abducted by a family friend identified as 31-year-old West Wild Hogs, who lives in the Seale, Alabama, area. He is believed to be driving in a stolen vehicle, a silver 2012 four-door Nissan Versa with Alabama handicap plate 4JL26.

It is unknown where they may be heading, but the amber alert was expanded to Alabama and Georgia on early Saturday evening.

Hogs is described as a 31-year-old white male with red hair and green eyes, is 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighs about 220 pounds. He has a car shaped like the letter L on the left side of his head, as well as a tattoo of a blue cross and another tattoo of a Chinese symbol.

Rebecca was last seen wearing a pair of blue shorts.

Anyone who sees either Rebecca, Hogs or the vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 863-298-6200 if you have any other information that could help authorities.
