Caden is believed to have left willingly with Kubbe on Sunday and he may try to cover for the suspect, authorities said in the amber alert, but South Ogden Police are nonetheless classifying this as an abduction. It is unclear what relationship, if any, the suspect has to the child.

The suspect was identified as Weston Kubbe, a 37-year-old man who has a concealed weapon permit and thus may be armed with a gun. The suspect and the victim are believed to be traveling in a red 2009 Ford Escape with Utah license plate X078CM. It is unknown where they are heading.

Photos of either Caden and Kubbe were not immediately released, but Caden is described as an 11-year-old white male with brown hair and brown eyes, is 5 feet tall and weighs about 80 pounds. He has a mole on one hand near his thumb and a slight scar between his eyes.

Caden was last seen wearing a green Moto Fox t-shirt and black sweatpants, according to authorities. The suspect, Kubbe, is described as a 37-year-old white male with blonde hair and hazel eyes, is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. It is unknown what he may be wearing.

Anyone who sees either the child, the suspect or the vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Utah Department of Public Safety at 801-887-3800 if you have any other information that might help investigators.
