New Mexico Amber Alert: Ethan Jacquez abducted from La Mesa

A New Mexico Amber Alert has been issued for 2-year-old Ethan Jacquez after he was allegedly abducted from a residence in the community of La Mesa in Dona Ana County. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately.

The incident happened at about 1 p.m. on Monday when Ethan was "forcefully taken" from a residence on Powell Place Road in La Mesa, though specific details about the circumstances of the abduction were not immediately released.

Investigators have identified the suspect as 23-year-old Sergio Guadalupe Jacquez, who is described as a Hispanic male with dark brown hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 209 pounds. The nature of his relationship to the child has not been disclosed.

Segio is believed to have taken the child in a white 2001 extended cab Ford F-150 pickup with New Mexico license plate 134 PJW. The vehicle has damage to the passenger side, according to the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department. It is unknown where Sergio may be heading.

Photos of neither Sergio nor Ethan have been released, but the victim is described as a 2-year-old Hispanic male with dark brown hair and brown eyes, standing about 4 feet tall and weighing 50 pounds.

Anyone who sees either Sergio, Ethan, or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department if you have any other information that could help investigators find them.
