The suspect is believed to have taken the children in a white 2001 Ford Focus 4DR with license tag 718JHX. It is unknown where Wright may be taking the boys and investigators have not commented on the exact nature of his relationship with the children.

The children have been identified as 12-year-old William J Thompson III, 5-year-old Ethan A Thompson, and 2-year-old Damien A Wright. All three children are described as biracial. The suspect is described as a 29-year-old white, balding male with hazel eyes, standing 6 feet tall and weighing about 158 pounds.
