Ohio Amber Alert: Keiria Trent abducted from Newark

An Ohio Amber Alert has been issued for 17-month-old Keiria Marie Trent after she was allegedly abducted from Newark by her father who is armed, local officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The incident happened earlier on Sunday when Keiria was allegedly taken from 196 N 11th Street in Newark in Licking County, though specific details about the circumstances of the abduction were not immediately released.

The suspect has been identified as Matthew Trent, a 27-year-old white male with brown hair and blue eyes, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He is reportedly armed and should not be approached.

Matthew is believed to have taken his daughter in a 2006 Black Saturn Ion with Red Rims, bearing plate number GUF5050. It is unknown where Matthew is taking Keiria.

Keiria Trent is described as a 17-month-old white female with blonde hair and blue eyes, standing 3 feet tall and weighing 30 pounds. She was last seen wearing either a blue princess tutu dress or a strapless white and pink stripe dress.

Anyone who sees Keiria, Matthew, or the suspect is urged to call 911 immediately, or call 1-877-AMBER-OH (1-877-262-3764) if you have any other information that could help investigators.
