Maryland Amber Alert: Young girl abducted from Worcester

A Maryland Amber Alert has been issued for 3-year-old Jalay Miyah Diggs after she was allegedly abducted from Worcester, local authorities say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The Worcester County SheriffÂ’s Department said Jalay was taken on Monday, though specific details about the circumstances of the abduction were not immediately released. The child is believed to have been taken by 30-year-old Kayleigh Burton.

Kayleigh is believed to have taken the child in a gray Lexus SUV with Maryland license plate number 1CR3270. It is unknown where she may be taking the child.

Kayleigh is described as a 30-year-old white female with brown eyes and brown hair with blonde highlights. She is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds, according to the sheriff's department.

Jalay is described as a 3-year-old biracial female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 28 inches tall and weighing 25 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink flowered capris and an orange top.

Anyone who sees either Jalay, Kayleigh, or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Worcester County Sheriff's Department at 410-632-1111 if you have any other information that could help investigators.
