  2 yrs | 12 workers killed in explosion at oil pipeline repair site in Nigeria - Eni

              Italian oil and gas company Eni says 12 maintenance workers were killed Thursday in an explosion at a repair site on one of its oil pipelines in Nigeria. All the victims, including three workers who suffered injuries, were employees of a local contractor. "The causes of the incident are still under investigation by both Eni and the local authorities," Eni said in a statement. It added that the Tebidaba-Clough Creek line, in Nigeria's onshore Niger Delta, had previously been damaged by acts of sabotage.
