Israeli soldier severely injured in stabbing attack, assailants killed


          A female Israeli soldier was severely injured after two Palestinian assailants stabbed her upper body on Thursday in the northern West Bank, according to Israeli security officials. Both of the attackers, identified as village residents aged 19 and 20, were killed at the scene by security forces.

Israel denies holding truce talks with Hamas


          The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected media reports that Israel is holding meetings with Hamas. "Israel would like to officially clarify that it is not holding any meetings with Hamas, neither directly, nor via other countries, nor via intermediaries," the office said in a brief statement, adding: "As for relations with Turkey, agreement is still far off."
