Trump wins Republican caucuses in Nevada
Donald Trump has won the Republican caucuses in Nevada, according to projections based on initial results, marking the businessman’s third win in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
With about 3 percent of precincts reporting, Trump led by a significant margin with nearly 42 percent of the vote. His main rivals, Senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, are in a dead heat for second place with each having about 22 percent.
The result marks Trump’s third win in the race for the Republican presidential nomination and puts him well ahead of both Cruz and Rubio. Cruz won the first vote in Iowa on February 1, but Trump went on to win the two following primaries in New Hampshire and South Carolina.
The votes for the Republican party race will be cast on March 1.
