REPLAY: Police pursuit in Houston ends in violent crash
A pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended with a violent crash along Highway 288 in Houston, causing what appeared to be serious injuries to the driver, officials say.
The vehicle was at times driving at a high rate of speed as officers chased it through parts of the Houston area. It came to an end just before 4 p.m., when the vehicle suddenly veered off the road and crashed into a barrier.
Officers approached the vehicle with their guns drawn and pulled the man from the car. Footage from the scene showed the suspect was bleeding heavily, but there was no immediate word on his condition.
It’s unclear if the crash was intentional.
