Texas Amber Alert: Sherin Mathews missing from Richardson

A Texas Amber Alert has been issued for 3-year-old Sherin Mathews after she was reported missing from her home in Richardson, local officials say. Anyone who sees her is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

Sherin was last seen outside her home in the 900 block of Sunningdale in Richardson, but specific details about the circumstances of her disappearance have not been released. Sherin suffers from developmental issues and has limited verbal communication skills.

Sherin is described as a 3-year-old Asian female with black hair and brown eyes, standing 36 inches tall and weighing about 22 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink top and black pajama bottoms, according to the Texas Division of Emergency Management.

"Law enforcement officials believe this child to be in grave or immediate danger," the amber alert said.

Anyone who sees Sherin is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Richardson Police Department at 972 744 4801 if you have any other information that could help investigators.
