Tennessee Amber Alert: Octavia Shaw abducted from Chattanooga

UPDATE: The amber alert has been canceled, according to TBI. A citizen saw the two and called 911, after which Martinez was taken into custody and Octavia was found safe.
A Tennessee Amber Alert has been issued for 1-year-old Octavia Shaw after she was allegedly abducted and last seen in Chattanooga, local officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately.
Octavia, who is 23 months old, was last seen with 37-year-old Matias Martinez on Thursday afternoon. He took off with the girl on foot after a traffic stop on Boyscout Road in Chattanooga, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
There is an active warrant for kidnapping for Martinez, but other details were not immediately released. There is no word on his criminal history or the nature of Martinez’ relationship, if any, to Octavia.
Martinez is described as a 37-year-old white male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. Octavia is a 23-month-old black female with black hair and brown eyes, standing 2 feet tall and weighing 30 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue dress.
Anyone who sees Octavia or Martinez is urged to call 911 immediately. If you have any other information that could help investigators, call the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND or the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office at 423-622-0022.
