Texas Amber Alert: 2 girls abducted in Frio County

A Texas Amber Alert has been issued for 8-year-old Maya Borrego and 6-year-old Bea Borrego after they were allegedly abducted from Dilley in Frio County, local officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately.
The two girls were last seen in the 100 block of West Buena Vista Street in Dilley just after 11 a.m. on Saturday, according to the amber alert. Specific details about the circumstances of their disappearance were not immediately released.
The suspect is 27-year-old Cassandra Alvarez, who is believed to have taken the girls in a maroon Mazda 3 with an unknown temporary Texas tags. The nature of her relationship to the children has not been disclosed.
Maya is described as an 8-year-old Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes, standing 4 feet tall and weighing 52 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt and blue jeans.
Bea is described as a 6-year-old Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes, standing 3 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 50 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt.
Anyone who sees Maya, Bea, Alvarez or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Dilley Police Department at (830) 965-2113 if you have any other information that could help investigators.
