Tennessee Amber Alert: Serenity Kinsey found dead in lake near Dandridge home

Divers in Tennessee have found the body of 7-year-old Serenity Kinsey, a non-verbal girl who disappeared from her home in Dandridge overnight and was the subject of a statewide amber alert, local officials say.
Serenity was last seen at her home along Indian Creek Road in Dandridge at around 1 a.m. on Thursday, according to the amber alert. Specific details about the circumstances of her disappearance were not immediately released.
At 11:30 a.m., police confirmed that Serenity’s body was found in a lake near her home.
“Our hearts go out to her family during this difficult time,” the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in an update on social media. “We appreciate each of you who took time out of your morning to share her information.”
In an earlier update, TBI said Serenity was autistic and non-verbal.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 865-471-6000.
