5 Mitsubishi Vehicles Known for Their Fuel Efficiency

In general, Mitsubishis are known for fuel economy, relatively low price points, and excellent resale value. However, a few in particular might stand out to you if you look at some of these areas. For instance, you may be looking for one of the models made by this company that has excellent fuel efficiency.
Before you head to the nearest Mitsubishi dealer, check out this list of options. These are the Mitsubishi models that are nearly impossible to beat if you want to spend as little money as possible on fuel.
The Outlander Plug-In Hybrid
Mitsubishi does have hybrid models, and if you’re interested in fuel economy, you will certainly want to take a close look at some of them. The plug-in version of the Outlander hybrid might appeal.
This one will get you an astonishing 64 miles per gallon combined highway-city driving. It can also go approximately 38 miles on electricity alone. It is going to be hard to beat that one, though the price tag might make this pick a little prohibitive for some people, as you can expect to pay over $42K for one.
The Outlander
The standard Outlander is also an option if you don’t want to pay as much as you would for the hybrid. This three-row SUV is spacious and comfortable, and it comes with an excellent infotainment system as well.
If you get a front-wheel drive model, it will get 24 miles per gallon in the city and 31 on the highway. That’s not bad for a vehicle of this size, though not close to as good as what the plug-in hybrid offers.
The Eclipse Cross
If a crossover SUV appeals, then have a look at the Eclipse. The interior is stylish and the turbo-four engine gives you athletic handling.
You can expect to get 25 miles per gallon in the city and 28 on the highway with this one. If you get a higher trim rating, that drops the on-the-highway number to 26. The super all-wheel control makes this a standout that the car-buying public seems to prize.
The Outlander Sport
The Outlander Sport is the perfect car for the individual who has an active lifestyle and is concerned with fuel economy. The cabin is roomy, making this the model for longer road trips with the family or friends.
You will get 23 miles per gallon in the city and 29 on the highway with it. You can get one with an inline four if you want a more engaging driving experience, but that drives the price up somewhat.
The Mirage
The Mirage is one of Mitsubishi’s better-known vehicles at this point, and this is the one you might see more of on the road than any of the others. You can get it as a hatchback or a subcompact sedan.
The sedan will get you 35 miles per gallon in the city and 41 on the highway. With the hatchback, expect 36 in the city and 43 on the highway, respectively.
